| rubber5 | it looks mad i love the idea of the air duckt for the cpu cooling what sort of temps are you getting under load? |
| lilrozzy11 | If you haven't seen it yet checkout update at the bottom of the page. |
| lilrozzy11 | I know what you mean. When I painted my case I was able to stretch the cable just enough to reach the top of the mother board , so the extension is unneeded. thanks for your idea though.

| rubber5 | the cheeper way you can extend the wire is to cut the wire and add a lenth inbetween and solder then together with a bit of heatsrink
if you know what i meen |

Hey all!!
This is my first build, which I have been messing around with for about 2 years now. Changing components and overclocking. In the last month or so I decided to try my hand at case modding. Here is the computer as it stands right now.
Components:
Under the Noctua NH-C12P pc cpu cooler is a overclocked E6600 overclocked to 3.2Ghz running at temps: idle 27C Under load 48C, the FSB 400Mhz to match the ram
EVGA 9800GTX+ which is an upgrade from the original 8800 gts that was in this system
4 gigs of ram both sets are corsair
Also wireless N card and X-FI Xtremegamer sound card
Mods:
This was the first mod to the case it is an air duct to the cpu fan. LOTS of nice fresh cold air.
This duct started life as a 4" 45degree pvc pipe bend that was firmly attached to the case with epoxy and then transitioned in with alittle bondo and alot of sanding.
The last 2 images are of the case window that i added. I decided to go with a flame design. I think that it turn out pretty good. The design was created free hand with a pencil and alittle imagination. It was cut by using a jigsaw and finished with a half round file. Finally a fresh coat of black paint was applied.
UPDATE!
I decided to paint the inside of my case becasue I got tired of the ugly gray case. This is how it turned out.
This is the painted case before all the components were reinstalled.
Back of the freshly painted case.
Everything reinstalled. Turned out great I think.
With side installed
The next objective is to add cases lights and an high output fan on the cpu cooler to futher decrease the temps.
Let me know what you think and what I could change.
